Aggelakakis & Associates at the “Roof of the World” – Everest Marathon 2026

Konstantinos Tzias, partner at our firm, is participating in the world’s highest marathon, at an altitude of 5.364 meters —covering the full Olympic distance of 42,195 km. This journey goes far beyond personal achievement. It’s a mission to create real impact. Aggelakakis & Associates proudly stands by his side as a sponsor and invites you to be part of it—supporting actions that truly change lives.

We Stand by People Through Our Actions.

We believe that a business with access to networks, resources, and opportunities also has a responsibility to use them for something greater than itself. This is not a communication strategy. It is a way of doing business.

Konstantinos Tzias is not an athlete we “chose.” He is a man who, when he found himself in Nepal the day after the devastating 2015 earthquake, did not walk away—he sprang into action. He gathered aid. He stood where he was needed. He grew up with a dream under circumstances that did not favor it, and today, at 40, he proves that limits are not determined by age. This is a story that speaks to us: human, authentic, without exaggeration.

In practice, we are covering the entirety of his participation—from registration and transportation to accommodation and equipment. At the same time, we are opening this initiative to anyone who wants to make a meaningful contribution, supporting the humanitarian work of the Rotary Foundation. Every contribution goes directly there, with no intermediary role on our part.

“Success has no value unless it serves a purpose greater than ourselves.”

— Athanasios Aggelakakis, Founder & Managing Director

Konstantinos Tzias

The First Greek Marathon Runner on Everest

Picture this: Born in the rugged beauty of Dropoli, Northern Epirus, he grew up with a spark ignited by a simple children’s encyclopedia. In a place where books were rare treasures, his hunger for knowledge was unstoppable—he learned early on that dreaming big isn’t just fun; it’s your superpower!

He set off on epic adventures, soaking up new worlds from the Middle East to Nepal, right when Mother Nature threw her toughest challenge. But he didn’t just watch—he jumped in with both feet, leading relief efforts and rallying funds to lift others up. Because real strength? It’s all about sharing it and making a difference!

Now at 40, he’s still conquering peaks, not just for the thrill, but to light the way for you and me. Every summit he reaches shouts: “You can do this too!” Your own heights become legendary when they inspire everyone around you to climb a little higher—let’s go!

The Everest Marathon 2026 Route

Starting from Everest Base Camp, the Full Marathon, the Olympic Style – 42.195 KM ends at Namche Bazar. Each year hundreds of participants run the full category in Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon. Participants will camp at Everest Base Camp before the race day. The course of the Full Marathon is mostly downhill and is a trekking trail hence caution while running is a must. The trails of the 42.195 km Marathon descend through Gorakshep and head down towards Dingboche where runners will make a loop at Bibre. From there, the tracks will descend to Namche via Kyanjuma.

Responsible Entrepreneurship with Measurable Impact

A business with access to networks, knowledge, and resources has a duty to use them responsibly—creating real opportunities beyond itself. This doesn’t require complex mechanisms. It requires a clear decision and consistency in execution.

Our role is clear: we fully cover Konstantinos’s participation, ensuring that every euro of support goes directly to humanitarian actions—not to operational costs. We’re mobilizing a network of people who want to make a real difference. Because impact isn’t a story. It’s a result.

FAQ: Our Everest Marathon 2026 Initiative

Why is Aggelakakis & Associates involved in this?

Because Konstantinos’s story touched us. A man who grew up with very little, traveled far, found himself in places that were literally shaken—and at every stop, he chose to give rather than take. That’s not an image you can fabricate. It’s a character you prove. We want to stand alongside people like that.

How do I know my donation is going where you say it is?

Because it doesn’t go through us. Every donation is made directly through the official page of the Rotary Club of Kalamaria at raise.rotary.org — and you receive an official receipt from Rotary International. Aggelakakis & Associates does not handle or manage donor funds at any stage.

What is the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon?

The world’s highest road race — starting from Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters and descending 60 kilometers to Namche Bazaar. It takes place every year on May 29, marking the anniversary of the first ascent of Everest in 1953. More: everestmarathon.com

Aside from making a financial donation, how can I help?

You can help by sharing the story and staying updated on the progress of the race. The initiative aims to mobilize a network of people to create a “measurable impact.” By engaging with the updates from Konstantinos Tzias and spreading awareness about the humanitarian work of the Rotary Foundation, you help amplify the mission’s reach beyond just the financial contributions.

There are moments when a small gesture means a great deal—both to the person who makes it and to those who receive it. This is one such moment.
