Export Summit X: Investing, The Only Way to Growth

The annual conference of SEVE – Exporters’ Association, which has now become an institution for the extroverted business community, entitled “Export Summit X: Investing, The Only Way to Growth”, was sponsored by our company and held with great success on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Greetings were delivered by the President of SEVE, Symeon Diamantidis, who referred to the fact that the new year finds us facing new challenges, but also opportunities; the Deputy Minister of Interior, Sector of Macedonia & Thrace, Konstantinos Gioulekas, emphasizing that the ministry’s goal is to make the most of the great potential and opportunities that Northern Greece has; the Deputy Regional Governor of Infrastructure & Networks, Paris Billias, mentioning the support actions for businesses coordinated by the Region of Central Macedonia; and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Stelios Angeloudis, who pointed out that in order for exports to progress, networks and infrastructure are required, including the connection of the port with PATHE, the completion of the 6th pier and the railway connection.
In a total of 7 sections of the Conference, ministers and members of the Government, banking executives, members of institutional organizations and CEOs of companies with an export character, participated as speakers, commenting on the opportunities and dynamics that are forming in the Greek economy, through the development of a new production model.
More specifically, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameos, among others, stated that in the last five years the labor market has followed a dynamic course, with 500 thousand new jobs compared to 2019.
The Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Konstantinos Kyranakis, announced that Greece will soon offer very fast real estate purchase and sale procedures through the National Land Registry, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate and reduce costs.
The Minister of Development, Panagiotis (Takis) Theodorikakos, underlined the importance of political stability and an investment-friendly environment for achieving growth, stressing the need for increased productivity, supporting entrepreneurship and promoting innovative exports.
The Minister of Justice, Georgios Floridis, stressed that deep reforms in Greece require a long period of time, but the aim of the new political procedure is to reduce the decision-making time from 1,700 to 630 days, within four years, in order to approach the European average.
This year’s Conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace).
